Excerpts from Bishop Larry Silva’s Memorandum to Clergy, Parishes, and Catholic Faithful in the Diocese of Honolulu, May 1, 2020. The full document can be found [here]:

  • Parish churches, chapels, oratories, centers, and missions are to be closed to the public through May 31, 2020 (inclusive), or until further notice.

  • All liturgical celebrations (e.g. Confirmation/First Holy Communion) from now through May 31 are canceled.

  • All funerals, weddings, and baptisms for the month of May are postponed until further notice.

  • The obligation to attend Mass on Sunday is dispensed through May 31, 2020.

  • On-line resources (live-stream Masses, prayers and devotions) can be found [here].

  • Confessions are available by appointment, and Anointing of the Sick and Viaticum will be ministered, if possible, in situations where there is danger of death (call us at 808.422.1135 or email us at info@holyfamilyhonolulu.org).
